Module 1: Understanding the SSSC Codes of Practice

This module introduces the SSSC and explains the purpose of the Codes of Practice. It explores why the codes exist, what is expected of registered workers, and how professional identity, conduct, and public trust are maintained. You will develop a clear understanding of professional standards and accountability within early years services.


Module 2: Applying the Codes in Early Years Practice

This module focuses on putting the Worker Code and Employer Code into practice. It covers everyday decision making, professional learning and reflection, understanding rights and responsibilities at work, and raising concerns, safeguarding, and whistleblowing. The module supports early years practitioners to apply the Codes confidently in real-world situations.
